- The Trumpet Winsock also supports packet drivers, so it works very well
- over SLIP packet drivers such as SLIPPER or CSLIPPER (which have also been
- written by Peter Tattam).

- Thanks for the reply, but I believe you misread. Of course if he wanted to use

-
- PC-NFS 5.0 has always included a WINSOCK.DLL. However you shouldn't
- expect to find it by browsing the installation diskettes, because we ship
- our stuff in ZOO archives.
-
- The WINSOCK.DLL is part of the Windows support which you install using
- the WINSTALL command (on diskette #3, I think). An updated version
- of WSHELPER.EXE, the WINSOCK.DLL support program, is FTPable from
- bcm.tmc.edu and other sites.

- It is a cookie server-ie gives you your fortune when you telnet into it using

- telnet program doesn't let me convert the characters so I get funny

- Subject: Gopher Book won't load gif's properly
-
-
- I've been experimenting with Gopher book and seem to have run into some
- problems. Basic text information and accessing is usually fine, sometimes
- I do get an error when I click into the next item. The real problem is
- when I try to load a gif to view. It loads 9105 bytes(consistant/diff
- gifs) and then loads the view which complains about improper EOF. If the
- picture is smaller than 9K, 95% of picture looks ok with bottom missing
- and complaints of corruption.
-
- Anybody else seen this or have suggestions to try.
-
- Running on Lantastic for TCP/IP(based on Wollongong's product)
- No other TCP/IP related problems.
-
- tried cleaning up the system and altering various network and TCP/IP
- parameters, but none seem to have any affect.
